Please Be Kind - Rewind

this has been an eventful year so far to say the least. i will rewind just to March.

we visited family in Utah - aka we drove to Utah, had multiple car problems on the way up all culminating in the van breaking down in clovis, no rental car places open, mom and angie rented a uhaul, drove to lubbock, rented mini van there, drove back, picked rest of family up (dad, kenzie and i waited in clovis, in a car dealership parking lot, listening to a train drive by every 5 minutes and a horrible radio station blaring in the parking lot with a 16 month old and 2 dogs). we proceeded to arrive in utah, had a good time with family, drove home in mini van, said goodbye to old van, we were not sure what was going to happen to it.

family in utah

but i did end up buying a new car as a result of the situation - so i can't complain too much....the van ended up being fixed, delaney and cory got my old car and the "old reliable" echo made the trek down to austin for mackenzie to drive next april...yikes.

the rest of the spring went by in a blur - clinicals, tests, work etc. but carson did have his share of art projects aka drawing on my things and himself, costume play, dress up, water play and hanging out with the g-parents.

then the fun began, (although i am unsure of the order)- delaney and cory got engaged, angie and nate got engaged and i cut my hair and highlighted it for the first time.

the wedding planning and festivities started first with delaney and cory...
followed by angie.... in between weddings, we got to hang out at the cannon ranch in kamas, i cut my hair...again, and carson got his first major "owie" that required 4 stitches...which is completely healed now. after the weddings, we got back into the normal swing of summer just in time for it to be almost over....we had some fun at the rockin' river water park in round rock and had more fun just hanging around the house. hopefully we will get in a couple more fun activities this week before school starts again next tuesday. my last semester of the acc nursing program. i will graduate at the beginning of december and take my nclex to become a registered nurse hopefully in january. carson turns two in november and i turn 24 this coming sunday. can't believe how fast life is passing by. hopefully with the blog i will be able to remember what happens since one: i never keep a journal and two: i cant remember much past last monday.

on a very positive note - my mom & kenzie come home today. they made the trek from salt lake city to boston with angie and nate. nate is getting his phd in accounting in boston so they will be living there for the next 4 years or so. glad to share my mom's helping spirit with them but am missing her here...and kenzie. who somehow has convinced me it is a good idea to take her and 6 of her 15 year old friends to schlitterbaun on friday and here is the kicker - it is for my birthday. not sure how she slipped that one by me...
