tried another craft project with carson. realizing i need to make it less complicated but this one turned out okay. an "our family" necklace. carson loves his uncles nate and cory and is also getting really good with everyone's names. i have pics i just got printed (finally) on my fridge and in frames on my counter of the whole fam, including the new additions, and carson loves pointing out everyone and saying their names. so we made a necklace with a pic of each person. carson got to pick out all the beads in between the pics. he only wanted basketball, turtle, fish or dolphin beads. i had to sneak in a couple of plain colored ones for variety.
also, have a current love affair with half priced books. i need to stop buying the books though and actually sit down to read them. latest love tryst results...choclat, farewell to arms, do fish drink water, the bostonians, and a tree grows in brooklyn (already read but don't own, found a great hard copy).
busy with work and carson. not sure where all my time goes. hard trying to make time for an actual social life, especially lately i feel. sorry to my dear friends that i have been absent from their lives. i feel like i have been sucked into a black hole lately. trying to organize my life. i will be around soon...i am such a bad friend.
Did you know Lowes every other Saturday has a "Build & Grow" activity, where they ahve fun easy to build "things."
ReplyDeleteMe and Hannah go and do them, Hannah loves them. They give the kids a little work apron and at the end of building your project you get a little round patch like a "merit badge" type thing.
Pretty fun!
