my mom is better than yours...and me.

so, i have the p90x workout program that i was so fired up to start. then school got busy, i got busy and i kept finding excuses. the most prevalent one was...."this program starts on a monday, i didn't do it today (monday). i don't want to throw off the schedule, guess i better try again next monday." lame. i know.

so my mom started doing it. oh yeah, my mom. who let me mention in nothing short of awesome and can do pretty much anything. she has been running her whole life, lately usually 3 miles 3 times a week at least. and can build a giant stone wall with her hands (not kidding) and this program was a little challenging for her. i caught a glance a couple times. it was a reality check, i don't think i can do that program in my dreams let alone in reality. i did the "fit test" before you start and it was laughable to say the least. about 1/8 of a pull-up and about 3 push ups... so, i have decided to go back to an old favorite to get me geared up for p90x. turbo jam! yes, that is right.

looks like a party doesn't it. well that's cause it is. i am going to do these series of workouts for 4 weeks. i have about 5 different discs. keeping a food journal in the process. i suck at food journals by the way, i always do it for like 2 days then fizzle. so we'll see how that goes. then hopefully by the end of it, i will be able to attempt p90x without having to make funeral arrangements prior to starting.

yesterday was day 1, i woke up feeling like i had competed in a boxing match. that may or may not have something to do with the two year old sleeping in my bed that turns into the hulk while sleeping at night. but i think it has more to do with the fact that i haven't exercised since the end of july. me, lazy? yes, i know. i am well aware.
